The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Graduate Level(CGL) Exam, SSC CGL 2022 on 17 September 2022 to recruit qualified candidates for the various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts.

The notice was booked to be out on 10 September however at that point SSC informed about the defer in discharge and delayed the date to 17 September. the online registration process begun on 17 September and the last date to submit the online application is 08th October 2022.

SSC CGL 2022 Selection Process

The selection of Candidates is done in two phases: Tier 1 and Tier 2. For a candidate to clear the CGL Exam must score minimum qualifying marks which have been decided by the staff selection commission in order to move into the next tier. When a candidate has cleared each of the two levels, he/she will get a job based on the merit list. The Candidates in top positions will land the best position posts.

Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

Tier-II: Computer-Based Examination will include conducting Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III in
separate shift(s)/ day(s). Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts. Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts. Paper III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern (Revised)

SSC CGL Exam is conducted in Two Tiers namely Tier-I and Tier-II

SSC CGL Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier-2 will be conducted in 3 phases- Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III and it will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions, except for Module-II of Section-III of Paper-I. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for the English Language And Comprehension module in Section II of Paper-I. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II and Paper-III.

Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts, Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts. and Paper-III will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-III i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.
