SBI Clerk 2022 Selection Process
The selection process for the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate JA) 2022 consists of 3 phases – Preliminary, Mains Online exams, and Language proficiency test.
Preliminary Exam: All the candidates have to appear for the preliminary exam. The preliminary exam will be 100 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for the main exam.
Mains Exam: The candidates who qualified in the preliminary exam will be permitted to attend the Mains exam. The cut-off marks for the Mains exam will be decided by the Bank based on available vacancies.
Language Proficiency Test: All the candidates who cleared the Mains exams have to qualify the language proficiency test.
The final merit list of selected candidates will be published based on scores of the Mains Exam. The scores of the preliminary test will not be considered for the preparation of the final merit list.
Candidates not found proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
SBI Clerk Exam Pattern
The Online test for SBI Clerk (Junior Associate JA) will be in 3 stages i.e., Preliminary, Mains Exam and Language Test (language opted by candidates).
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:
Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Language Test: The candidates who successfully completed the Mains Exam have to qualify the language test before the appointment, The candidates who fail the language test will not be offered the appointment. The language test will be in the language opted for by the candidates.
Note: Those who qualify for selection and produce a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test.
SBI Clerk Salary
SBI Clerk PAY SCALE is Rs.17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550- 1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920.
The starting Basic Pay is Rs.19900/- (Rs.17900/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates)
EMOLUMENTS: The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs.29,000/- per month inclusive of D.A., other allowances at the current rate and two additional increments for newly recruited graduate junior associates.
Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. They will be eligible for reimbursement of various perquisites, provident fund, Pension under New Pension Scheme (Defined Contribution Benefit), Medical, Leave-Fare, and other facilities, as per instructions of the Bank as may be issued from time to time.
