All candidates must be citizens of India.

What is the Educational Qualification for Group 2?

All the candidates must possess all the Academic qualifications and experience if any, by the date of the notification. All the academic degrees must be from recognized institutions by UGC.

Assistant Development Officers in A.P. Handloom & Textile Department	Any Degree OR Diploma in Textile Technology OR A Diploma in Handloom Technology
Assistant Section Officer (Finance Dept.,) in A.P. Secretariat Sub. Service	Must Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or Economics or Commerce
Assistant Section Officer (Law Dept.,) in A.P. Secretariat Sub. Service	Must Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law
Senior Accountant in Branch-I (Category-I) (HOD) in A.P. Treasuries & Accounts Sub Service AND Senior Accountant in Branch-II (Category-I) A.P. Treasuries & Accounts (District) Sub Service. AND Junior Accountant in (Branch-I) various Departments in A.P. Treasuries and Accounts Sub-Service.	Must have passed a Degree in Commerce Economics or Mathematics OR Any Degree with a Pass in any one of the following Certificate Course (a) Office Automation (b) PC Maintenance and Trouble Shooting (c) Web designing OR Must hold a Degree in Bachelor of Computer Application (B.C.A.) or B.Sc.(Comp.) or B.Com.(Comp.) or B.A. (Comp.) or B.Tech /B.E. with Computer Science or Information Technology

What is the Age Limit for Group 2?

All candidates applying for Group 2 Exam must be not below 18 years and not above 42 years of age as of the date of notification released.

For the Post of – Prohibition & Excise Sub Inspector, the candidates must be not below 18 years and must be not above 28 years of age.

Group 2 Age Relaxation

Age Relaxation is applicable to the categories as detailed below.

SC/ST and BCs	5 Years
Physically Handicapped persons	10 Years
Ex-Servicemen AND N.C.C. (who have worked as an Instructor in N.C.C.)	Shall be allowed to deduct from his age a period of 3 years in addition to the length of service rendered by him in the armed forces / NCC

APPSC Group 2 Selection Process

The group 2 selection process will be in 2 phases. As per new pattern. Please refere the official notification for full details.

Phase -1: Preliminary Exam/Screening Test

Phase-2: Mains Exam

The Preliminary exam in 1 paper for 150 marks. Based on marks of the Preliminary exam candidates will be shortlisted for Mains Exam.

The Mains Exam will be in 2 papers for 300 marks. Based on marks of the Mains Exam candidates will be selected.

Note: As per G.O.Ms. No.235 Finance (HR-1, Plg & Policy) Dept, Dt: 06/12/2016, for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question

Computer Proficiency Test (Qualifying Test) for eligible candidates in the ratio of 1:2 with reference to the total number of vacancies notified.

Group 2 exam will be in 2 stages, i.e.,

• Preliminary/Screening Test
• Mains Exam

In Group 2 Prelims there is only one paper for 150 marks. There will be negative marks for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
