Who is Eligible for SBI CBO Jobs
Educational Qualification
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government including an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD). Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, and Cost Accountant would also be eligible.
Age Limit
A candidate’s Age must be between 21 to 30 years which means a candidate must have been born not later than 30.09.2001 and not earlier than 01.10.1992 (both days inclusive).
Relaxation in Upper age limit:
Age Relaxation is applicable as per the rules.
Selection Process
The selection of Candidates for Circle Based Officers (CBO) is made in three phases:
- Online Test
- Screening
- Interview
A candidate to clear the Circle Based Officers (CBO) Exam must score minimum qualifying marks that have been decided by the Bank to move into the next phase. When a candidate has cleared each of all phases, he/she will get a job based on the merit list.
Exam Pattern
The examination will consist of THREE Phases:
- Online Test
- Screening
- Interview
1. Online Test:
The online test will consist of Objective Test for 120 marks and a Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: The duration of the objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections for a total of 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

(ii) Descriptive Test: The duration of the Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of the English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for a total of 50 marks.
Note:
- The merit list will be drawn Circle wise and Category wise on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the Online Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the Circle wise and Category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Screening from the top of the merit list drawn on Circle wise and Category wise subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as decided by the Bank.
- There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests.
- Sectional Marks will not be maintained for Online Examinations.
2. Screening
Online applications and documents of candidates, who are shortlisted based on performance in online examinations, will be placed before the Screening Committee. The Screening Committee constituted by the Bank will examine whether the candidates fulfill the required eligibility criteria of experience.
The Committee will match the job profile submitted by the candidates (certified by their existing/ previous employer(s) with whom they are/were employed) with the job profile of Scale-I Generalist Officer of the State Bank of India. In case their job profile does not match substantially or is different than the job profile of Scale-I Generalist Officer of State Bank of India, then the application of the candidate will be summarily rejected.
The decision of the Bank in this regard would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bank in this regard. The candidates, who fulfill the required experience as decided by the Screening Committee, will be called for an interview.
3. Interview
The interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in an interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
Final Selection
The candidates will have to qualify both in Online Test and Interview separately. The marks obtained in Online Test, both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in the Interview for preparing the final merit list. The final merit list would be prepared based on the normalization of marks scored in the Online Test and Interview with 75:25 weightage respectively.

Then, Fill out the application form with the required details i.e Personal, Educational, Post Name, contact number, email id, address, etc., and click on the save and next button.
Next, Upload scanned photographs and signatures as per the requirements mentioned in the official notification.
After that, Preview and verify the information provided by you and Submit the Application.
Finally, Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.
