School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has released notification for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test – AP TET 2022. The eligible candidates aspiring to be teachers can apply for the test. The test will be competer based test (CBT).
Candidates pursuing the final year of DL.Ed. / B.Ed. / Language Pandit or it’s equivalent courses upto the academic year 2020-2022 can appear for AP TET 2022.
The candidate who intends to be teacher for classes I to V has to appear for Paper-I (A).
The candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII and Language Pandits for VI-VIII have to appear for paper II (A).
The Candidate who intends to be teachers for classes I to V in Special Education have to appear for the examination under Paper I (B) and the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes from VI to VIII) in respect of Special Education have to appear for Paper-II (B).
The candidates who got qualified in the earlier TETs can also apply for AP TET, if they desire improvement over their previous TET score.

AP TET Exam Date
The schedule for AP TET is from 06.08.2022 to 21.08.2022. There are 2 sessions i.e., 09.30 A.M. to 12.00 Noon Morning session and 02.30 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. Afternoon session. The exam duration will be 2:30 hours.

AP TET Exam Fee
All the candidates have to pay Rs. 500 for each paper. Candidates shall pay the fee through payment Gateway between 15.06.2022 to 15.07.2022 and submit an online application at the APTET website http://cse.ap.gov.in between 16 .06.2022 to 16 .07.2022.
AP TET Eligibility
At the time of applying all the candidates must have the following eligibility.
AP TET Paper 1 A (classed 1 to 5)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure), Regulations, 2002 (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR)
- Graduation and two-year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (OR)
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (OR)
- Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed/M.Ed.
Note 1:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ST/BC/PH candidates.
AP TET Paper 1 B (classed 1 to 5) (Special Schools)
- Intermediate/ Senior Secondary and two year D.Ed. Special Education in any of
the category of disability (OR) - Intermediate/ Senior Secondary and one year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the category of disability . (OR)
- Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (DCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf. (OR)
- Primary level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment. (OR)
- Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation – Mental Retardation (DVR-MR) / Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Diploma in Hearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary passed with any RCI recognized qualification of minimum one year duration and 06 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs. (OR)
- Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.
AP TET Paper 2 A (classed 6 to 8) (Regular Schools)
- At least 50% marks either in Graduation (or) in Post Graduation with B.Ed., (OR)
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education in accordance with the NCTE recognition norms and procedure Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) (OR)
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.A./B.Sc. Ed. or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. (OR)
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) (OR)
- Post Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
Note:
- The minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011.
- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ST/ BC/PH candidates.
AP TET Language Teachers (Classes 6 to 8)
Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (or) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (or) Graduation in Literature (or) Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.
AP TET Paper 2 B (classed 6 to 8) (Special Schools)
- Graduate with B.Ed.(Special Education)/ B.Ed.(General) with one year Diploma in Special Education (OR)
- B.Ed. (General) with two years Diploma in Special Education (OR)
- B.Ed.(General) with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (PGDC) (OR)
- PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) (OR) PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability : Physical & Neurological) (OR)
- PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor Impairment and Cerebral Palsy) (OR) Secondary level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment (OR)
- Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf (OR) BA B.Ed. in Visual impairment (OR)
- Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.
Note: The candidates who are in the final year of the said above courses are also eligible for apply for AP TET 2022.
