An aspirant must be a citizen of India, Nepal, or Bhutan.

What is the Educational Qualification for SSC JHT?

For post codes ‘A’ to ‘D’(Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translator in various Central Government Ministries/Departments / Offices):

Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;
or
Master’s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level
and
Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa or two years‟ of experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

SSC JHT 2022 Selection Process

The selection of Candidates is done in two phases:

  1. Paper- I (Objective Type)
  2. Paper- II (Descriptive)

For a candidate to clear the SSC JHT Exam must score minimum qualifying marks which have been decided by the commission in order to move into the next phase. When a candidate has cleared each of the two phases, he/she will get a job based on the merit list.

Note:

This paper will contain two passages for translation one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi, and an Essay each in Hindi and English, to test the candidate’s translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively.

The level of the paper will be consistent with the educational qualifications prescribed.

Minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I and Paper-II are as follows:

  • OBC/ EWS: 25%
  • Others: 20%

How to fill in SSC JHT Application Form 2022?

Method of Submission of Online Application Form:
STEP 1: Log on to SSC’s official Website.
STEP 2: Go to the link “New User? Register Now” option on the right-hand side.
STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.
STEP 4: Upload the latest Scanned Photograph and Signature,
STEP 5: Pay the Examination Fee by debit/credit card and net banking and print the Confirmation page for record and future reference.
