SSC JE 2022 Selection Process

The selection of Candidates is done in two phases:

  1. Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination)
  2. Paper II (Descriptive)

For a candidate to clear the SSC JE Exam must score minimum qualifying marks which have been decided by the commission in order to move into the next phase. When a candidate has cleared each of the two phases, he/she will get a job based on the merit list.

Paper-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

Marks scored by candidates in Paper-I will be normalized using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

Paper II will have to be written either in Hindi or in English. Part paper written in Hindi and part in English will be awarded zero marks.

SSC JE Salary

The salary of Junior Engineers will be Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the website of SSC
Headquarters i.e.https://ssc.nic.in.

First, Go to the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in, and click on the “New User? Register Now” option on the right-hand side.

Then, Fill out the application form with the required details i.e Personal, Educational, Post Name, etc.

Next, Upload scanned photographs and signatures as per the requirements mentioned in the official notification.

After that, Preview and verify the information provided by you and Submit the Application.
